Healthy leg veins contain valves that open and close to assist the return of blood back to the heart. When these valves do not work properly, this produces a back-up, or congestion, of blood in the affected vein. Pressure builds up and the veins become enlarged, eventually bulging to the skin’s surface and becoming what we call a varicose vein. Varicose veins can cause pain, swelling, heaviness, fatigue, and skin ulcers in the affected areas.

A tiny needle is used to inject the veins with a drug that dissolves the lining of the vein. In response, the veins collapse, seal shut, and are reabsorbed by the body. Learn More...
Using ultrasound, a small catheter is inserted into the diseased vein through a small opening in the skin. The catheter is used to deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy and heat the vein wall, causing the vein to shrink and seal closed; allowing blood to be re-routed to other healthy veins. Vnus Closure is an in-office, outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia, and the patient can walk immediately after and return to work the next day. Learn More...
Vein removal surgery such as ambulatory phlebectomy may be necessary. Small incisions are made next to the vein and sections of vein are removed through these small nicks. This procedure is done in the doctor's office on an outpatient basis using only local anesthesia. The patient can walk immediately after the surgery and resume normal activities within 1-2 days. For small spider veins, a variety of laser/light source treatments may be used. A light beam creates heat inside the veins, that causes them to be sealed off and reabsorbed by the body. Learn More...
For tiny spider veins on the face and legs, Veinwave technology is used for treatment. A tiny needle is placed subepidermally, and Veinwave delivers heat to close the veins instantly. The procedure is virtually pain free and takes less than an hour. Learn More...
